Technical Support Training and Consulting
Training Engagements
Standard Training
Training is done on a specified training module (for example block modelling) using our standard training data. Although this is the cheapest option, the shortfall is that, the delegates will be using data that they are either unfamiliar with or doesn’t apply to their adapted work flows, processes and procedures and therefore they require to work hard after the training in order to be able to apply what covered during the training to reproduce expected deliverables in work environment.
Specialised training
Training is done on a specified training module (for example block modelling) using clients’ data. This is neither cheaper nor expensive option but the shortfall is that, the delegates will be using data that they are familiar with and apply to their adapted work flows, processes and procedures and therefore will make it easier to maximise training effectiveness to the level that the training outcome is either a true deliverable to be kept for further assessment including self-learning or fair enough example to be used to furnish the required deliverables. Importantly, this option requires data preparation session which remains billable type of work.
Specialised training and implementation
Training is done at specialised training option in a coaching environment, where the implementation part will be more into documenting applicable work flows, processes and procedures of performing tasks taught during the training as part of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be adhered to in performing these tasks. This option costs more than standard and specialised training because it includes the coaching aspect. This is ideal for operations going through restructuring, rehabilitation and reforming or new operations looking at bringing their workforce up to speed.
Customised training
Training is done on a specified training module portion (for example geo-statistics which forms part of block modelling course) using either our standard training data or clients’ data. The advantage is that, the delegates can learn about a specific portion of the training course that they require specific expertise.
Customised training and implementation
Training is done at customised training option in a coaching environment, where the implementation part will be more into documenting applicable work flows, processes and procedures of performing tasks falling onto the portion of the module taught during the training as part of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be adhered to in performing these tasks. This is ideal for operations that are either short-staffed or struggling on areas that need more attention in building skills and expertise in-house.
Consulting Engagements
Standard consulting
The consultant completes the set of deliverables specified in a consulting agreement without either being directly involved in controlling clients’ resources to be used during the consulting period or taking decisions for and on behalf of the client. The good example of this is to consult in building a resource model for the client during the pre-feasibility period and at the same time not being involved in deciding where detailed drilling is required to increase resource, managing the drilling programme and exploration team.
Specialised consulting
The consultant completes the set of deliverables specified in a consulting agreement and either being directly involved in controlling clients’ resources to be used during the consulting period or taking decisions for and on behalf of the client. The good example of this is to consult in building a resource model for the client during the pre-feasibility period and also being involved in deciding where detailed drilling is required to increase resource, managing the drilling programme and exploration team.
Customised consulting
The consultant completes the specific part of the set of deliverables specified in a consulting agreement. The good example for this is when the client engages us to complete only the geo-statistics part of the block model already done.
Outsourcing
In real sense this is Specialised consulting where there is an agreement to station the consultant at a location (for example at the operation) preferred by the client for the certain period of time in order to consult on the project contracted for. This is ideal for either short staffed operations or clients specialises in getting things done through consultants and therefore we can operate at either agreed designation or capacity.
Customer Commitment Plan (CCP)/Service level agreement (SLA)
This is customer commitment driven option for extended value achievement which allows the clients to enter into either long or medium term training or consulting agreement for the period of every 12 months and pay upfront in order to get a discounted price which should be reviewed after every 12 months and therefore access to either training or consulting services based on the amount paid in advance. Actually, the client pays for a number of training or consulting days in a year and his/her account is debited every time he/she use some of these days.
Proof of Concept Consulting (PCC)
This is a standard consulting completed after the scooping study (an exercise performed to navigate through the workflows, processes and procedures adopted by the client in performing certain types of activities) in an agreement that, the client can either buy the work done (let say the optimised mine production schedule if meets requirements) or pay the time blocks used to complete the work and qualify to obtain the work done for free or discounted rate. Evaluation of the time to be spent doing the work and how much will be invested in buying the work is done during the scooping study and weighted accordingly in order to derive the fair value to be agreed between parties. This is promotional driven option for unique value achievement.

Mineral Economics
Comparable Transactions:- Used during the very early stages of a mineral asset (inferred and indicated resources) valuation. The resource in question is compared to a resource of a similar size, thus allowing for an approximation of the value and identification of the risks.
Historical Cost/Appraisal Value:- When evaluating the viability of a partially developed resource, a purchase price can be estimated by subtracting the costs spent to date from the total costs required to develop the property to production. This method is typically applied as a guide for early stage investment strategies.
Financial Modelling:- As the level of confidence in the resource increases, so does the accuracy and confidence in the valuation. Financial Modelling is a spatial financial estimation which utilises the resource block model and Geo-Techno-Socio-Economic factors to define the value. The technique is used for shallow marginal projects, or in combination with a Whittle run for open-pitable resource estimation.
Techno Financial Model / Discounted Cash flow Model:- The most common valuation technique utilises process flow, OPEX, and CAPEX estimates to produce an NPV estimate. The distinction here is the use of technical design specifications in conjunction with sound financial theory.
Probability Modelling:- This tool typically makes use of a Monte Carlo simulation to test project sensitivity inputs such as opex, capex, price and exchange rate, to both estimate a set of possible scenarios and refine overall robustness.
Commodity Market Studies:- Studies of this nature investigate the supply and demand of a particular resource and its associated products. The studies are usually centralised around a particular region, but can span the global marketplace.
